Happy New Year! Welcome Back!

Happy 2017 to our Amesville Elementary School community!

Students return to school on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017.  Be on the lookout for your child's report card as this will be sent home later this week.  If you do not receive a report, please contact the office at 740 448-2501.  Looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!

Winter Concert and Art Show Winter Concert
Our Winter Concerts and Art Show were enjoyed by everyone!  Students' art work was displayed for all to enjoy and the two evening performances were outstanding.  Our 6th graders amazed us with their glow-in-the-dark dance.  Other highlights included holiday music performed on boomwhackers, a scarf dance by our Kindergarteners, a special version of the Twelve Days of Christmas by our 4th graders, our 5th and 6th grade band, and many others!  Special thanks to Mr. Waskiewicz, Ms. Pearce, Mrs. Lawrence, and Ms. Gallaher for your dedication to our students!

Trick-or-Treat for Unicef Every Penny Counts!

A big SHOUT OUT to Amesville Students for caring about and helping children around the world through Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF!  Students beat their goal of $600 by raising $621.03!

Our 6th grade classes set a grade level goal of $250 and collected over $271 to support these efforts!

Many thanks to everyone for their generosity!

Honoring our Veterans Thank you, Veterans!

Amesville Elementary students and staff celebrated our veterans in a wonderful assembly with readings, music, lots of flags, and smiles.  Thank you, Veterans, for your service to our country!

Empty Bowls--a success! Empty Bowls

Students enjoyed sharing their ceramic artwork with families and friends...what a great turn out for this local event! Thanks to everyone for attending and to Ms. Pearce and Ms. Jamie for organizing this important fundraiser.

We are still awaiting the final amount raised for the Athens County Food Pantry--stay tuned!

Annual Halloween Festivities Halloween Fun!

Amesville students enjoyed the annual parade through town sharing their costumes with everyone!  It was "spooktacular"!

Check out Cruella De Vil...(is that really Mrs. Lawrence?)! Classroom parties were also a hit--including homemade pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, and even pumpkin soup!

Fire Safety Thank you, Firefighters!

Thank you to the Amesville Ames-Bern Volunteer Firefighters for inviting our students to the fire station to learn all about fire safety.   Students explored fire trucks, equipment, and even sprayed the water hose!  We learned that every family needs a meeting spot and to always have two ways out of your home.  A fun and informative visit!

Farm Day 2016 Farm Day 2016

Farm Day 2016 at the Hays Farm outside of Amesville was a blast!  Students roasted marshmallows, made butter, went fishing, saw lots of animals, popped popcorn, and enjoyed a beautiful fall day at the farm.  Thanks to Steve and Barb Hays for welcoming us back for another year!
