Portable AED Donated by Ohio Health

Mark Seckinger (O'Bleness President) and Brent Kim (VP, Physicians Group) present AED to George Wood (FH Superintendent)

Ohio Health/O'Bleness hospital has donated a portable AED.  An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm.AEDs are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). SCA is a condition in which the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating.  While the district has AED devices in strategic locations inside the schools, this portable device can be carried by athletic trainers to events adding another level of safety for our students.

Thanks to Ohio Health and O'Bleness Hospital for this thoughtful donation to our schools.
