Dear Federal Hocking Students and Families,

Since it is the start of August, it means school is going to be here soon. As you most likely are aware, many new faces will be present at Federal Hocking High School. Both the middle school and high school will have Open House where you can meet new staff members and talk with past staff members. Open House will be held on August 14 from 4:30-6:30. We encourage you to attend and introduce yourself to us!

With this letter are other important materials for you to know. Should you have questions, call the school or email the high school secretary Jessica Allen (jessallen@fhlancers.com), principal Richard Spindler (rspindler@fhlancers.com), or guidance counselor Hope Briles (hbriles@fhlancers.com). Questions about scheduling should be directed to Mrs. Briles. Students should be able to see schedules in Infinite Campus by August 12. The advisory list will be on the high school doors and students can obtain a paper copy of their schedule from their advisor the night of Open House. To find the district schedule, calendar, school events, and other information, you can visit www.fedhock.com.

Parents of students who are planning to participate in an internship this school year must attend a mandatory meeting with Ms. Ripple (rripple@fhlancers.com) on August 14 at 6:00 in the high school library.

The first day of school is August 19. Students are expected to report to their advisory period by 7:50. Free breakfast is available each day before the advisory period. Free lunch will also be provided to students this school year. On the first day, students will be called by grade levels to the auditorium. Basic school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, pens, and paper will be available should students need them.

We are looking forward to a great school year with you! See you soon!

Richard Spindler
