Good morning Lancer Land. Here's today's weather poem
It's really cold and really slick
Some of the snow decided to stick
And that is why we're calling to say
Federal Hocking Schools
Are on a two hour delay.
That's right, for today, Thursday, January 15th, Federal Hocking Schools are on a two hour delay.

This is not an emergency. We just wanted families to know that our buses are running about 20 minutes late from the middle and high school and this may cause some delay in the elementary buses.
Our high school interns welcomed two guest speakers who offered advice and shared their own internship experiences. Olivia Amlin (FH Class of 2023) and Darius Pierce (FH Class of 2024) did an incredible job and we want to wish all of our current interns the best as they are off to begin their placements tomorrow!

The 9th grade class officers are trying again- Souper Bowl, take 2 is on the books. Please come and enjoy chilis, soups, desserts, drinks to support a great cause, and then stay after for the boys' game if you can. Please share to help spread the word.

Happy Holidays from all of us at Coolville Elementary!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Lancer Families,
Yes, these are our bus drivers, and yes, all the kiddos got home safely. We want to wish the best during this season of lights, joy, and giving.

Lancer Familes,
We wanted you to know that today we sent home with all students the new handbook rules again explaining that all personal communication devices (cell phones, watches, ipads, computers, etc.) are, as of January 1, prohibited during school hours as per state law. Further, while students may bring such devices to school, they must be turned off and stored in their lockers. The handbook page we are sending home explains the consequences of refusing to follow this rule.
If your child did not bring the handbook page home to you, it can be found on our website. We appreciate your cooperation with this new state law and school board policy.

❄️🎄🎶Amesville Families: The preschool, kindergarten, first and second grade concert originally scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled for Thursday 12/18.❄️🎄🎶

Federal Hocking Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday December 15th.
Dear High School and Middle School Families,
The secondary school building has been hit with a wave of student and faculty illness. It seems to be some sort of intestinal virus. Today nearly one half of our middle school students were absent along with on third of the staff. I have spoken with the County Health Department and we have agreed that it would be best if we closed the middle and high school tomorrow. So for tomorrow, December 12th, the middle and high school will be closed. Please note the elementary schools will be open.
While the secondary school campus is shut, we will be doing a deep clean and getting ready to welcome students back on Monday.
