Big news from Mr. Douglas’ second-grade class! They earned a "Dress the Teacher" day for reaching their iReady goal! Mr. Douglas had to wear whatever the class chose, and let’s just say it had everyone buzzing with laughter! Keep up the amazing work, second graders!
Amesville Elementary Empty Bowls is tonight from 5 to 6:30. Bowels are $3, children's meals are $1, and adult meals are $2. We will also be unveiling The Market at Amesville through Southeast Ohio Food Bank and HAPCAP. We hope to see you there!
Congratulations to Federal Hocking students for showcasing their art at the Majestic Gallery in Nelsonville! Each school featured ten or more student artworks, including pieces from the TAG program. Families celebrated their efforts at the closing reception on 2/23.

🎉 SURPRISE! 🎉 For our 10th edition of Lancer Learner Leaders, we're stepping outside the classroom to showcase one of our fantastic programs: the Internship Program! 🌟
Our students are gaining real-world experience, building connections, and setting themselves up for success. 🙌 We're so proud of the incredible work they’re doing and the growth they’re experiencing!
For meeting their assessment goals, students participated in a Science Experiment Reward Day. They learned about potential and kinetic energy by building catapults, explored wind energy by creating wind turbines, studied matter by mixing up Oobleck, examined plant life cycles by making their own greenhouses, and discovered water displacement by building boats. They had so much fun and are determined to work even harder to achieve their next goal!

We will begin Tuesday, February 18th, on a 2-hour delay to allow additional time for travel.
Due to the high water level in parts of our district, our transportation department has alternative routes to get to the middle/high school. A map showing our route to the middle/high school, as well as where the water is located, is attached. If you live on a blocked road, your bus driver has been asked to contact you and let you know we will be unable to reach you. If you are unable to get out, please call the office with your address and the front office can excuse your child.
We will provide an update only if this information changes before school tomorrow.
